Active Initiatives

INADESU is actively implementing two major safe space initiatives focused on creating protective environments for vulnerable children while building community resilience.

Children Safe Space, Bokwoango

Education and child wellbeing

Since 2019, the Children Safe Space has offered children affected by the Anglophone crisis a secure environment for age-appropriate play and learning in subjects including arts, agriculture, English, and mathematics. Children can also learn about their rights, and counselling is provided to children who have experienced sexual and gender-based violence.

Improving the Children Safe Space

Education and child wellbeing

Safe-space classes have been meeting at the Bokwaongo Presbyterian Church. INADESU hopes to move to its own location to accommodate the growing number of children and provide more storage, and hopes to expand the Children Safe Space to other parts of the country.
