About

Who we are

INADESU (Inclusive Action for Development and Sustainability) is a non-profit association with headquarters in Buea, South West Cameroon, whose main objective is to improve the lives of women, and children especially those with disabilities and the underprivileged in Cameroon. The majority of our efforts are focused on promoting health, eliminating poverty, fostering peace, ending gender-based violence, and achieving gender equality.

Our Story

INADESU was founded by Ms. Leku Sylvie in 2016. Prior to this, Leku Sylvie Nakou volunteered for a number of non-governmental organizations, which made her very familiar with the challenges disabled people face in society. She had also participated in several projects involving children and women, where she witnessed the difficulties children and women faced in her community and beyond. She began to consider how she could help women, children, and disabled people in her own way by developing small-scale projects aimed at supporting women and children and assisting disabled people in becoming more integrated into society. In 2016, she decided to establish the association INADESU (Inclusive Action for Development and Sustainability) so that she could coordinate events and recruit others to assist her in achieving her dream of ensuring that children, women, and the disabled feel included in society. Since then, the association has participated in a number of projects that have positively affected the lives of numerous disadvantaged individuals, children, and women.
